Frozen was a milestone achievement for Disney Animation, earning in a billion dollars in worldwide box office revenue, two Oscars, two Grammys, a Golden Globe, a chart-topping soundtrack and countless merchandise. Most of all, the movie won the respect of millions of people (women in particular), who appreciated directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee’s refreshing choice to tell a princess story that focused on the bond between two sisters, rather a girl trying to win a prince charming.
With all those positives, its been near impossible to imagine that Disney would miss opportunity to launch a sequel film – but the only concrete evidence that the world of Frozen would continue was the upcoming animated short, Frozen Fever. Today however, it has been confirmed that Frozen 2 is indeed happening.
