For months now, fans of Fox’s X-Men franchise have been promised that next year’s installment, X-Men: Apocalypse, would be even bigger than X-Men: Days of Future Past. Given the film’s epic scale, it’s easy to see how that could be the case, but the way things are coming together, the film could feature just as many beloved mutant characters as its timeline-mashing predecessor.
In addition to perhaps the final appearance of the main cast of X-Men: First Class, the film has already added younger versions of original trilogy mainstays like Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) to the fold, as well as a young Nightcrawler played by Kodi Smit-McPhee. However, it looks like – if a new report proves to be true – we can now add three more actors to that list.
